We may be in the thick throes of winter at the moment, but warmer weather is coming soon. And while some people choose to rely on days to measure the countdown to spring, we prefer a different approach to passing the time: Wine. Specifically, we’re talking about our 2018 Tasting Series at The Spiced Pear, which kicks off this February and continues into April. Up first on the schedule? The Wines of Maison Louis Jadot. Read on to learn more about this elegant event, which will take place on Sunday, February 11th at The Chanler.

About Jadot

The Jadot family purchased its first vineyard, the Clos des Ursules, a Beaune Premier Cru, in 1826. Founded by Belgian Louis Henry Denis Jadot and cultivated by subsequent generations of Jadots and Gageys through a robust policy of acquisition and exceptional management of its vineyard lands, the Louis Jadot win empire continued to grow, and was acquired by the family of its US importer, Rudy Kopf, in 1992.

Today, Louis Jadot comprises 528 acres of vineyards scattered throughout Burgundy, including 280 acres of the Cote d'Or's most prestigious Premier and Grand Cru plots, and lays claim to the well-earned honorific, “America’s Number 1 French Wine.” Due to its premier reputation, the company has established strong bonds with sommeliers, restaurants, wine merchants, importers, agents and wine lovers all over the world.
